Although Star Wars: The Old Republic is months away from release, sites much like ForceNexus.com are quickly building up a fan-bases and communities to participate in The Old Republic's massive array of features.  However, some websites and guilds have an unwavering advantage in this race: a previous member following.  ForceNexus.com is a new and innovative addition to the Star Wars: The Old Republic guild/fan-site, and subsequently we have less of a community.  This discourages most visitors from forum websites in general, as they feel that there is little possibility for involvement and entertainment.  After all, who wants to become interactive on a site that on face value looks like a deserted ghost town?  I know I would be discouraged...  But what is often forsaken, is the fact that the only way a fan-base is built, is through people willing to dedicate time and effort to creating and maintaining a immersive community.  People with the aforementioned characteristics are what ForceNexus.com is searching for.  We need people that have excellent leadership skills, creativeness, uninhibited imaginations, and a minor obsession with the Star Wars Universe.  If you think this describes you, ForceNexus is for you.  Other sites would offer positions only because they want to entise newcomers with promises of power and special treatment.  ForceNexus however, only wants people that are capable of the tasks we delegate.  Competency and integrity are key!

Would we spend so much time on the appearance of this website if we were not dedicated to our content?  Would we offer intensive roleplay and character creation options if we did not love what we do?  Just like you, we love Star Wars, and we love imagination.  If you think that you would be an excellent addition to our team, please register and P.M me with your application.

Thank-you, and may The Force be with you!

A decent way to hype up the image of the community, but without any of the unique content the forum promises - the forum roleplaying boards, for example - there's no reason that Force Nexus should be "superior" to any other Star Wars community up and running these days, and that's taking into account the accessible website design and the nice forum background. And there's also the incidence of these spambots (the latest aberration of which I can still see in the "topic summary" box, oh god).

Spam is an unfortunate part of any forum my friend.  I am the only admin active right now, and thus only 1 person is able to monitor the new anti-spam mods that are currently running.  To the discredit of the mod, the spam post is still displayed in the "topic summary", but it will never appear in a conversation.  I personally have to check the filter to delete it.  I will try to fix this problem, rest assured.

As for the superiority, it is not my intention to squash other websites similar to this one.  You and I both know full well that what I said has bearing, that many guilds and recruiting forums use promises of power to ensnare members.  I merely wanted to use this dichotomy between ForceNexus and other sites to show that even though I am now accepting staff applications (with a format T.B.D), the last thing I want is someone who values power over commitment.

And I merely mentioned the appearance of this website to demonstrate the time, effort, and dedication applied to ForceNexus, not as a bragging point.

But I do appreciate your input Ixius.
